Does Gaza and its people have a right to exist? Some Christian groups believe they do not and that they should be eliminated right off the face of the earth. These same groups even go as far as misquoting the Bible to suggest that God wanted them exterminated as a race. In other words, what is happening right now with the genocide and ethnic cleansing by Israel against Palestine was predicted in the Bible. It was not.
The question of whether Gaza and its people have a right to exist is a complex and sensitive issue. The Gaza Strip is a small territory located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, bordered by Israel and Egypt. It is home to over 2 million Palestinians, many of whom are refugees who were displaced from their homes during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
The Palestinian Authority (PA), which governs the West Bank, recognizes Israel’s right to exist, but Hamas, the Islamist organization that governs Gaza, does not. The international community is divided on the issue, with some countries recognizing Palestine as a state while others do not.
It is important to note that the Bible is a religious text and should not be used to justify violence or discrimination against any group of people. Misquoting the Bible to support such actions is not only morally wrong but also goes against the teachings of Christianity, which emphasis love, compassion, and respect for all human beings.
The situation in Gaza is complex and multifaceted, with a long history of conflict and violence. The recent conflict between Israel and Palestine has resulted in significant loss of life and displacement of people. It is important to work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict that respects the rights and dignity of all people involved.
There is one particular online group of Christian Zionists in the United States who have been running an end-times ministry for 30 years. They have stated that Edom refers to Palestine that God plan has always been to eliminate it right off the face. That can be proven in the book of Obadiah.
The book of Obadiah is the shortest in the Old Testament, consisting of only 21 verses. It is attributed to Obadiah, a prophet who lived in the Assyrian Period and delivered a message of judgment against Edom, a nation that was related to Israel but also hostile to it. The book of Obadiah reveals God's sovereignty over the nations and his justice for all his people. The main themes of the book are the pride and downfall of Edom, the day of the Lord, and the restoration of Israel.
One of the common misconceptions about the biblical term Edom is that it is synonymous with Palestine or the land of Israel. However, this is not the case. Edom is the name of a region and a people that occupied the territory east of the Jordan River, south of the Dead Sea, and north of the Gulf of Aqaba. Edom was also known as Seir, after the mountain range that dominated its landscape. The Edomites were descendants of Esau, the twin brother of Jacob, who sold his birthright for a bowl of stew. The Edomites had a long and hostile history with the Israelites, often opposing them in war and refusing them passage through their land. Edom was eventually conquered by the Babylonians, the Persians, and the Nabateans, and its identity was gradually lost. Today, the area that was once Edom is part of the modern state of Jordan but not Palestine.
Christian Zionism is an ideology that, in a Christian context, supports the return of the Jewish people to their ancestral homeland of Israel. It also believes that the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 was a fulfillment of biblical prophecy and a sign of the end times. Christian Zionism is based on a literal interpretation of the scriptures, especially the promises that God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob regarding their descendants and the land of Canaan. Christian Zionism has its origins in the Protestant Reformation and has been influenced by various historical and political factors over the centuries. Today, Christian Zionism is mainly prevalent among evangelical Protestants, especially in the United States and the United Kingdom.
However, there is no doubt whatsoever that because of the particular ideology of all Zionists (calling themselves Christian) the current situation in the Middle East has been allowed to grow and for decades to have now reached the boiling point it has now.
That is why Israel has now been allowed to be given the free reign it has to inflict pain and suffering on innocent Palestinians since 1948, mainly because of so-called Christians who are Jews masquerading as hate filled Christians.
Blessings
