And after threescore and two weeks
shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the
prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And
the end thereof shall be with a flood, and until the end of the war
desolations are determined. Daniel Chapter 9 Verse 26. KJV
Daniel chapter 9 verse 26 is a prophecy about the coming of the Messiah and the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. According to this verse, after a period of 62 weeks (or 434 years) following the decree to rebuild Jerusalem, the Messiah will be killed and will have nothing. This refers to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of the world, but not for himself. Then, the people of a future prince will come and destroy the city and the sanctuary. This refers to the Roman invasion of Jerusalem in 70 AD, which resulted in the demolition of the temple and the dispersion of the Jews. The verse also says that the end will come like a flood, meaning that it will be sudden and overwhelming. There will be war and desolation until the end, meaning that there will be no lasting peace or security for Jerusalem until the Antichrist signs a temporary seven year peace treaty that he will break after three and a half years. At the end of the seven years the final judgement and Christ will settle the matter.
The genocide and ethnic cleansing taking place in the Middle East with Israel relentlessly bombing and attacking defenceless Palestinian citizens has never happened before throughout history and will only come to a temporary type of peace with the covenant of Daniel Chapter, Verse 27, signed by the Antichrist. However, Israel will never find peace until Christ returns. Until then, they will not have peace or security.
Accordingly, those backing Israel and allowing the
genocide and ethnic cleansing to continue are doing so to the peril
of Israel. The Arab nations are sure to react to the situation within
a matter of weeks until Israel's campaign of terror ceases. Apart
from economic sanctions, Israel is now at a greater risk than ever
before to be attacked with the same ferocity they are using against
Palestine. When that happens, the Treaty of Daniel will be signed,
and the world will see the Antichrist.
