Paul Henri Spaak |
Donald Trump has made statements suggesting that he believes he was sent by God. There are several instances where he has implied that his life was "saved" by a "supernatural hand" and that he was chosen to lead the United States. These remarks have often been directed toward Christian voters and made in response to events such as an attempted assassination. However, it's important to note that these interpretations of his statements vary, and it is up to each individual to decide how they understand his words.
At the very least, these statements can be disturbing, reminiscent of claims one might expect from the Antichrist asserting he was sent by his god, Satan. While this alone does not prove he is the Antichrist, it echoes a saying by Henri Spaak.
Paul-Henri Spaak (1899-1972) was a former Belgian Prime Minister and a key architect of what has now become the European Union. His words about seeking a leader during a crisis are chillingly prophetic in the context of today's global turmoil:
"We do not want another committee; we have too many already. What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people and to lift us out of the abyss into which we are sinking. Send us such a man, and be he god or devil, we will receive him."
This appears to be the appeal Trump is making to voters, promising to help lift them out of the economic challenges not only facing the United States but the entire world.
"Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God." (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)
Blessings.
